Bout of Books 25

It's time for Bout of Books 25! In case you haven't heard of Bout of Books before: "The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 13th and runs through Sunday, May 19th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, Twitter chats, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional.  For all Bout of Books 25 information and updates, be sure to visit the  Bout of Books  blog." - From the Bout of Books team You should definitely check out Bout of Books though because it is always so much fun and there are daily challenges to do. I have no idea if I'll be posting my challenge answers here or over on my twitter yet. Either way, it's definitely something that's really fun to participate in, and there are no book choice challenges or anything like that. Probably most of the books that I'll be reading...

Bout of Books Wrap Up

The Readathon: Bout of Books Books Read: 4 Pages Read: 1370 Challenges Done: 3 Success?: Definitely Yes Hey everyone! Bout of Books 24 was an absolutely crazy one for me. I am a little disappointed that I did not manage to post a daily post, but I kept up with it for longer than I even managed to post these challenges on twitter. Next time, hopefully I will do better but I am definitely happy enough with how I did concerning challenges, and reading as well even though it was not exactly what I expected. Part of the reason this post is going up so late is because I moved back to school and started classes. Really, the main reason is that I haven't felt much like writing this. I have been procrastinating like crazy on most things. For example, I was going to write this when I was working the desk at my job but I read an entire book instead. Good, but maybe not exactly what it was that I should have been doing. Anyway, I'm writing this now. Here's my tbr fo...

Bout of Books Day Three

It's the halfway point! Day Four is here, so here's my day three wrap up. If you want to know what I was planning to read, check out my tbr  here. Day Three Challenge was Six Degrees of Separation, to connect the words "bout" and "books" through six books.  How Bout Them Cowboys? by Gary Myers One Cowboy Summer by J.M Nash The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan (Lightning Storms) The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak The Instagram challenge for this day was a highly anticipated read for 2019. I chose Hero at the Fall by Alwyn Hamilton. I absolutely adored the first book in this series and while I have been slacking on reading Traitor to the Throne , I still am really excited. I love this series and the magic created within. This book is set to come out on March 12, so I have two months to read the first two books. Today I managed to liste...

Bout of Books Day Two

Day 2 of Bout of Books 24 is in the books! If you want to know what I was planning to read, check out my tbr  here. My day 1 update can be found  here. The challenge for Day 2 was Character Dinner Party. I am really bad at things like this, so first of all, I would like to apologize in advance. I just am not good at narrowing things done. But I finally decided that I would invite Annabeth from PJO, Poppy from Princesses of Westfalin, Rose from Vampire Academy, Sabrina from Sisters Grimm, and Amani from Rebel of the Sands. Literally, these are just awesome female characters found in books I have read in 2019 and on my favorite goodreads shelf. All of these characters are witty and I think a dinner party with them would be a lot of fun and get into a lot of trouble. The Instagram photo challenge for yesterday was recent 5 star read. I don't have an Instagram, but here is my picture for this challenge. I loved Meet the Sky and you can check out my review for it her...

Bout of Books Day 1 Update

Hey all! Day 1 of Bout of Books is over! If you want to know what I was planning to read, check out my tbr  here. The challenge for Day 1 was #insixwords. I chose "Winter Break: it's time to read" for my six words. I felt like it described what I'm doing right now, since I am fortunate enough not to have classes start until next week. The Instagram photo challenge for today was currently reading. I don't have an Instagram, but here is my picture for this challenge: I actually ended up listening to 5 hours 26 minutes of The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan, which I did not plan to. I probably with listen to some more today, so I will almost certainly finish this audiobook by the end of the week, and hopefully get started on another as well. I forgot how awful some of the voices chosen are, especially the racist choices like for Ethan Nakamora. Also, I swear too many of these characters are British. I read only 50 pages of Princess of the Midnight Ball , ...
