Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. I've never participated in these biblio games before, but I am super excited for them! The theme is based on Sky High, which is a really cute movie that I first watched three years ago and would definitely recommend. The whole event seems huge and I seriously cannot wait for June and things to finally get kicked off! I have never watched Game of Thrones, and I've never read any of the A Song of Ice and Fire books, which is why I was so glad to see this readathon! Honestly, this was because Theon is one of the only characters I know, and his sister seems really cool. The only other characters I know are the Starks, which there were a bunch of people in. What's better than pirates? Space pirates. And what's better than space pirates? Clearly Scallywag A Thon, a pirate themed readathon that is based on space pirates this year. I just found out about it last week, but Scallywag A Thon starts tomorrow and runs May 5-12. There are multiple paths to take along the map to find where X marks the treasure. In case I wasn't already busy enough in April, I decided to participate in the OWLs Magical Readathon, hosted on Twitter . It's based on the Hogwarts universe and testing system. There are twelve subjects for OWLs, just like in the original series. The host made some amazing art for careers, but for this month's readathon, I decided to just go for all twelve books/subjects and decide on a career path in time for the NEWTs readathon in August. One note before I begin, but I completed one book in the Charms extra credit readathon back in October which means I get to start my Charms book one day early, today on Sunday, which works perfectly for me since I have the audiobook and a five and a half hour drive. It's 24in48 readathon time and I am super excited! I love week long readathons with challenges, but these super short super intense readathons are a great way to manage to get a lot of reading done. In case you have never heard of 24in48, the goal is to read for 24 hours in a 48 hour period, running from midnight on Saturday to 11:59 PM on Sunday night (Officially in EST). These hours can be split up however. You can sign up at 24in48.com or find them on twitter at @24in48readathon . It's always a lot of fun, even though I have never actually managed the 24 hours. I kind of hope to change that streak this year. It's a lot of fun to participate and interact. There are updates and challenges on the blog every 3 hours. I know that I have not been keeping up with this blog, but my first semester of college was crazy. I honestly was surprised at what I was able to get done relating to reading and writing, particularly when concerning Nanowrimo. Anyway, now that I'm back home for winter break, I'm trying to catch up on this blog to post once a week, or hopefully at least once every other week once the spring semester starts. I've decided that blogging at least once a month has to be a success. I just gave up on alphabethon for this month because I was just busy. I read about two and a half books total, which isn't bad but definitely is not what I need for my goodreads goal. I'm twenty four books behind schedule. Oops. For the reverse readathon, which begins in about three hours, I went with library books, because I'm moving five and a half hours away in four weeks and I want to read books that I can't bring with me. I chose the first book of two middle grade series that I loved a few years ago. I want to start back into middle grade because there have been so many amazing science fiction and fantasy MG books that have come out since I stopped reading them. So the first two books in my stack are The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom by Christopher Healy and The Wishing Spell by Chris Colfer, which I also have on audiobook. It's finally July 1st (I started writing this at 12:04 AM so...) and that means many things. One of those such things is pretty obvious from the title of this blogpost- alphabethon just started. But July is so much more than that. July also includes: Camp Nanowrimo! Yes, I'm participating in that too, even though July is one of the busiest months of the year for me. I don't expect to do so well on that, but hey, at least I finally got back to this blog. My birthday! Which, does not actually say much. I'm turning 19 in five days and don't want a party, not even for family. I don't even want gifts really. My last fair. The 4H part of my life was a big deal, and it is going to be all over after this month. That's a little depressing. Today is also going to be the third consectuitive day in the 90s.
