Unique Settings

Last week, I ran out of time to do my Top Ten Tuesday post, but I still loved the prompt of settings that I'd like to see more of. Since this week was a freebie, I decided to go ahead and do this prompt. Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. The books I have read from these books have been absolutely amazing in the majority of circumstances, but there needs to be so much more, especially in traditional publishing for a wide range of audiences, though some of these are best suited to YA or NA. So, let's get started! 4H- I spent twelve years as a member of local 4H, and I have only read one book that ever had showing livestock at a county fair as a plotline. It was amazing, but I haven't seen this aspect of my life in any other book. I have a few ideas based on my experiences

Beau and Bett Review

Title: Beau and Bett Author: Kathryn Berla Genre: Young Adult, Contemporary, Romance Trigger Warning: Past sexual assault, Bullying Rating: 4 stars Synopsis After Beau LeFrancois's mother wrecks Bett Diaz’s luxury SUV, his family faces an impossibly large bill—and no car insurance to help pay it. To pay off the debt, Beau spends his weekends working at the Diaz Ranch. Beau’s prepared to work, but he’s definitely not prepared for the infamous temper of Bett Diaz—also known as "The Beast" at school. As Beau learns the secrets behind Bett’s tough exterior, he finds himself falling for her. That is, until he catches Bett in a lie. A contemporary twist on a classic fairy tale, Beau and Bett is a timely story of family, friendship, and the power of speaking out and standing up for yourself. Review

Must Read Authors

I took last week of Top Ten Tuesday off because I honestly didn't know what to write, but now I'm back for another week! Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. This week's prompt is Auto Buy Authors. At first, I thought I didn't have any but once I consider the spirit of what "auto buy" is, making a list ended up being a lot easier than I had initially expected. For me, this is a list of authors that I will read any book of theirs that I find, even if I just request it from the library, or only buy if I find it at a used bookstore. All of these authors I love and will read just about anything I put out there. So let's get started! Rick Riordan- The jokes about signing a blood contract for his books? This is me. Heck, I haven't read Magnus Chase yet and o

Wilder Girls Review

Childhood Favorite Series

It's time for another week of Top Ten Tuesday! This week's prompt was childhood favorites, and it was a really fun list to write as I walked back through memory lane. I was only able to narrow it down to eleven, but all of these are great books, especially for kids but also I know that I want to reread now. I read all of these in elementary school and would like to thank the public library that let me read so many of these great series. So let's get started! Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan- Honestly, I cannot count how many times I actually managed to read this, especially the first time. I remember the first time I read The Battle of the Labyrinth on the way back from a trip from my dad, and I just love all of this honest
