Oh my gosh, 24in 48 is over and I actually won!
I ended up going with the official time zone, so that means that this is going from 11 pm my time on Friday night to Sunday night at 11 pm. I managed to get about 2 hours of reading done before I fell asleep, which was unintentional. My lights were still on and everything, but I woke up at 7:30 ready to go. I read until about 3 am and woke up around 9:30 am. No one showed up to my SI session so I read the whole time. I managed to win this challenge at an Ultimate Smash Tournament. I also won my first match ever at the tournament. I would have tried to finish this afterwards but I hung out with my friends there until way too late.
The 24 hours of reading was just absolutely insane. Last time I only hit 9 hours, but the 24 was both so extreme and so awesome at the same time. I absolutely adored it. It was exhausting and wonderful at the same time.
Next time, I really need to work on staying organized because as I am writing this, I have to figure out what I actually got done. It was just so much stuff and I need to focus somewhat more on this to prevent from being so lost.
Audiobooks were my savior in hitting this goal, but I need some variety next time. I read about 2/3 of Princess in the Spotlight, and all of Princess in Love, Princess in Waiting, and Project Princess. I got really tired of listening to the same series, so next time I will definitely want to include some variety in my audiobooks. All of my audiobooks total about 759 pages.
Of the five physical books on my tbr, I read and rated Reign of Shadows, Paper Towns, and Always and Forever, Lara Jean, as five stars, reading all of them. I did not manage to get to Rise of Fire. I read 64 pages of Side Effects before I stopped and called it a dnf. Fun fact about Reign of Shadows: I read it all for the first time on July 27 and read it all this weekend on January 27. This was completely unintentional, but I found it cool that I read it exactly 6 months apart. These books total 998 pages read.
On to digital ebooks! I ended up reading these only on my phone, though I was planning to read on my iPad. This may be an easier and better choice for in the future. I read and finished Second in Command, Princess Academy, and Frostbite. I also read part of Shadow Kiss. These books total 1039 pages.
All in all, I read 2796 pages in 24 hours, 2 minutes. I am crazy happy with all of this. The next 24 in 48 is July 20-21. Sadly, I don't know if I'll be able to do this in July, but I am still super excited for whenever I can do this again! Hitting 24 hours was an amazing feeling, even though I spent lots of time convinced that it was not going to happen.
Did you try this challenge? How did you do? Be sure to let me know how in the comments!
Thanks for reading!
